Australia is poised to launch its most extensive talent search yet to find athletes for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics, according to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS). Slated for next month, the 'Future Green and Gold' program aims to scout and foster promising athletes across various states and 40 sports, including Paralympics Australia.

'This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for people that could lead to representing Australia on the world stage,' remarked Annette Eastwood of the AIS. The initiative will target Australians aged 13 to 23 for the Olympic team and those over 13 for the Paralympic team, regardless of previous sporting experience.

Australia boasts a formidable history in the Olympics, finishing third in Melbourne 1956 and fourth in Sydney 2000. Fresh off their most successful Summer Games in Paris, where they clinched 18 golds and 53 total medals, the Australian Olympic Committee sees this campaign as crucial for Brisbane 2032. 'The success of the home team is vital to the success of any home Games,' said AOC chief executive Matt Carroll.
