In a nail-biting finale that captivated cricket fans, East Delhi Riders clinched the inaugural Delhi Premier League (DPL) T20 title, defeating South Delhi Superstarz by a slender 3-run margin at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

A late batting assault by Mayank Rawat, featuring seven fours and six sixes, propelled East Delhi Riders to a competitive total of 183/5. Strong bowling efforts by Simarjeet Singh and Raunak Waghela, both bagging three wickets each, ensured their team stayed in contention despite a formidable chase.

South Delhi Superstarz had a promising start but faltered early. Losing key players like Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni, they struggled to keep up with the required run rate. Vision Panchal provided some hope with a quick-fire 25, but timely wickets restricted their progress. With Tejaswi Dahiya and Digvesh Rathi's efforts falling just short, South Delhi Superstarz ended their innings at 180/9, narrowly missing out on the championship.
