On Friday, Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, congratulated India's latest Paralympics medalists for affirming the nation's vision of becoming a multi-sporting powerhouse. India's tally at the Paris Paralympics has risen to 26, featuring six gold, nine silver, and 11 bronze medals, surpassing the previous record of five golds in Tokyo 2020.

Celebrating the achievements, Ambani exclaimed, 'Every day in Paris, Team India inspires and makes the tricolor proud!' She acknowledged athletes like Praveen Kumar, Kapil Parmar, and others for their exceptional performances. Praveen's 2.08-meter record-breaking high jump secured another gold, while Kapil's swift Ippon clinched a bronze in the men's -60kg J1 contest.

The medal spree continued with Dharambir and Pranav Soorma dominating the men's club throw F51. Harvinder Singh earned India's first gold in para-archery, and Sachin Khilari's shot put throw garnered silver. Ajeet Singh, Sundar Singh Gurjar, Sharad Kumar, Mariyappan Thangavelu, and Deepthi Jeevanji also contributed to India's historic medal tally.
