Eddie Dunbar Claims Victory in Vuelta a Espana's 11th Stage

Irish cyclist Eddie Dunbar won the 11th stage of the Vuelta a Espana on Wednesday, executing a perfectly timed attack inside the last kilometer to fend off his challengers in the mountainous region around Padron. This victory marks the first major triumph for the 27-year-old Jayco AlUla rider in a Grand Tour.

Dunbar's acceleration ahead of the lead group was unmatched as no competitor could keep pace with him. Despite his smaller build, the Irishman skillfully held off more powerful riders from the day's breakaway group.

Dunbar notably triumphed over Belgium's Quinten Hermans of Alpecin-Deceuninck, who finished in second place, and Britain's Max Poole from Team DSM-Firmenich PostNL, who secured third.
