Federico Chiesa, the Italian winger, has shared his excitement about embarking on a "new adventure" as he prepares to join Liverpool from Juventus.
Footage in the Italian media captured Chiesa arriving at an airport, reportedly boarding a private flight to England.
"I'm really happy and ready for this new adventure,'' Chiesa said, extending gratitude to Juventus fans. ''Thanks for all the affection over the years, I'll keep you in my heart,'' he added. Liverpool and Juventus have not publicly commented on the transfer deal for Chiesa.
British media report Liverpool is set to pay 13 million euros ($14.5 million) for Chiesa, who shone during Italy's European Championship victory in 2021. Chiesa, son of former Italy striker Enrico Chiesa, would be Liverpool's first outfield signing under new manager Arne Slot.
Earlier this week, Liverpool announced the signing of Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, though he will remain with the Spanish team for the rest of the season.
