The Haas Formula One team departed the Dutch Grand Prix circuit on Monday following a temporary hold on their trucks. This hold was due to pending confirmation regarding payment to a former Russian sponsor, Uralkali, whose contract was terminated in 2022 after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Last Thursday, Dutch bailiffs attended the circuit to inventory the trucks after a local court moved to enforce a Swiss tribunal ruling from June. This ruling mandated that Uralkali be repaid the balance of its contract. Haas confirmed the payment was made on Friday, with Uralkali acknowledging receipt.
'Therefore our trucks have been given clearance to depart the Netherlands and make their way to Italy immediately,' a Haas spokesman stated. The Monza circuit near Milan will host the 16th round of the 24-race championship this weekend.
