Ipswich Town have successfully signed forward Jack Clarke from Championship side Sunderland on a five-year deal, the newly promoted Premier League club disclosed late on Saturday. Though financial specifics were not revealed, reports suggest the transfer amounted to £15 million.
Clarke, aged 23, has found the net 28 times in 114 appearances for Sunderland, having initially joined on loan from Tottenham Hotspur before making his move permanent in 2022. He marks the 10th acquisition for Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna during this close-season.
In his statement, Clarke emphasized McKenna's compelling vision for the club. Ipswich have recently faced defeats against Manchester City and Liverpool and are set to host Fulham on August 31 in the Premier League.
