Sarabjot Singh, in partnership with Manu Bhaker, achieved a historic milestone by winning India's first-ever Olympic medal in a mixed shooting event. Singh shared insights into their preparation, revealing that they 'barely' had time to train together before their event.

Competing in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Games, Bhaker and Sarabjot secured a bronze medal. 'Our individual training sessions were separate, with brief joint sessions lasting only 30 minutes,' Singh recounted. Their interactions were minimal, often limited to encouraging each other to give their best, supplemented with light-hearted banter.

Singh has long admired Turkish shooting legend Yusuf Dikec, looking up to him since 2011. 'I've always watched his videos for inspiration. At 51, Dikec remains a paragon of perfection,' said Singh. He also talked about his custom-engraved pistol, SSINGH30, named in honor of his achievements at the 2022 Asian Games. Meditation and a rare yogic technique called Trataka were pivotal in his mental preparation. Singh concluded with a bold ambition for the 2028 Los Angeles Games, aiming to turn his bronze medal into gold.
