Francesco Bagnaia clinched victory at the Austrian Grand Prix sprint on Saturday, propelling him to the top of the MotoGP world standings alongside Jorge Martin. The triumph came after Bagnaia overtook pole-sitter Martin, who was penalized for cutting the chicane.

Marc Marquez, a six-time champion, crashed out of the race with just four laps to go, preventing Martin from securing third place. Bagnaia capitalized on Martin's penalty and steadily increased his lead to secure a decisive win at the Red Bull Ring.

Aleix Espargaro finished third, marking his second sprint podium of the season, while other point earners included Enea Bastianini, Jack Miller, and Franco Morbidelli, among others.
