Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody reflected on Australia's 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup victory at Lord's Stadium as he prepares for The Hundred final, coaching the Oval Invincibles. The final takes place on Sunday, 25 years after Australia's historic win over Pakistan at the same venue.

Moody recounted the team's journey to their World Cup win, noting they entered the tournament as favorites but had a rough start, losing to New Zealand and Pakistan in the Pool B matches before dominating the Super Six stage. "We basically had to win seven in a row to be crowned champions. Being part of that journey for those seven games was pretty special," Moody told ESPNCricinfo.

In the final, Australia defeated Pakistan by eight wickets, with standout performances from Shane Warne and Adam Gilchrist. Reflecting on the celebration, Moody recalled the team singing their traditional song, 'Beneath the Southern Cross', with Ricky Ponting leading the chant. Moody also highlighted his own contributions during the tournament.
