Om Prakash Chouhan, India's lone participant in the 2024 D+D REAL Czech Masters, started with a 2-over 74 on day one, placing him at risk of missing the cut. Featuring two birdies, two bogeys, and a double bogey, Chouhan ended up tied for 129th in what was a low-scoring opening round.

The projected cut stood at 3-under, with 117 players finishing under par on the first day. Shubhankar Sharma, India's representative at the Paris Olympics, opted to skip the week.

South African Pieter Moolman impressed with six straight birdies to finish the first round, delivering a round of 64, eight under par. His performance left him one shot ahead of the competition on a sweltering day at PGA National OAKS Prague.

England's Brandon Robinson-Thompson, who recently won the Farmfoods Scottish Challenge, joined five others in a tie for second place. This group included Swede Jesper Svensson, Scotsman Richie Ramsay, South Korean Sung Kang, and Germans Maximilian Rottluff and Maximilian Kieffer, last year's winner.

Moolman, a two-time Sunshine Tour winner, completed his round with nine birdies, including a closing streak of six consecutive birdies for a new course record. His eight-under total on the first day set a high bar for the tournament at PGA National OAKS Prague.

Following close behind Moolman were Julien Guerrier and Adrien Saddier from France, Adri Arnaus from Spain, Ricardo Gouveia from Portugal, Jannik De Bruyn from Germany, and England's Sam Bairstow. They all shot impressive 7-under 65 rounds.
