Bank of America Teams Up with FIFA for 2026 World Cup Sponsorship
Bank of America has announced a sponsorship deal with FIFA for the 2026 World Cup, aligning itself with one of the most-viewed sporting events globally. This partnership marks BofA as the first-ever global banking sponsor for FIFA. The 2026 World Cup will feature 104 matches and 48 teams, co-hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Bank of America is joining forces with FIFA as a sponsor for the 2026 World Cup, soccer's global governing body announced on Thursday. This move aligns the financial giant with one of the world's most-watched sporting events.
The deal makes Bank of America the first global sponsor from the banking sector in FIFA's history. The partnership is reminiscent of FIFA's long-standing deal with Visa, which began after a dispute with Mastercard in 2007.
According to Bank of America, the sponsorship will enhance its global and local market strategies, engaging a worldwide audience. "Football connects the world like no other sport," said BofA CEO Brian Moynihan.
