The Bangladesh senior cricket team will arrive in Pakistan on August 13, following political unrest at home that disrupted their preparations for a two-match Test series, announced the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) accepted PCB's invitation for the tour, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship. The first Test will be held in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25, followed by the second match in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer expressed his delight over BCB's decision. "Sports is not only about winning and losing, it's also about comradery. I remain confident that the extra training sessions in Lahore will allow the Bangladesh players to showcase their skills on the global stage," said Naseer.

BCB Chief Executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury thanked the PCB for the opportunity to train in Pakistan, saying, "This will certainly help the players acclimate to the conditions and prepare better for the ICC World Test Championship series."

The Bangladesh team will train at Gaddafi Stadium from August 14 to 16 before heading to Rawalpindi for practice sessions starting on August 18. This will be Bangladesh's first tour to Pakistan since 2020.
