Indian men's hockey team is set for a crucial bronze medal match against Spain, and Olympic javelin throw champion Neeraj Chopra will defend his title, marking the highlights of India's Olympic action on Thursday. The day's events kick off with golfers Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar in round two of women's individual strokeplay.

At 2:05 PM, Jyothi Yarraji takes the stage in the repechage round of the women's 100m hurdles. An hour later, Indian wrestlers Aman Sehrawat and Anshu will compete in the round of 16 in their respective 57 kg freestyle categories, with quarterfinals slated for 4:20 PM if they advance.

Following a tough semifinal loss to Germany, the Indian men's hockey team led by Harmanpreet Singh aims for a bronze medal in their 5:30 PM showdown against Spain. Should he qualify, Aman's semifinal bout is scheduled for 9:45 PM, followed by Anshu's semifinal clash at 10:25 PM.

Capping off the day, Neeraj Chopra will be the spotlight as he attempts to defend his javelin throw Olympic title. Chopra secured his final spot with a massive 89.34m throw in the qualification round, his best effort this season, easily surpassing the qualification mark of 84.00m.
