Diksha Dagar faced a challenging close to her round, carding a one-under 72 in the 2024 KPMG Women's Irish Open. She initially seemed set for a stellar finish, sitting at four-under through 12 holes. However, three bogeys in the last six holes set her back, leaving her T-31 while the first round was ongoing.
Fellow Indian golfer Pranavi Urs had a promising start, scoring birdies consecutively from the 11th hole. Despite this momentum, a dropped shot left her 2-under through eight holes, placing her provisionally at T-12 in this four-day, €400,000 event at The O'Meara Course.
Other Indian participants Tvesa Malik and Ridhima Dilawari faced difficult rounds, with Malik at 3-over 76 and T-101, and Dilawari enduring a tough day at 7-over 80, positioned at 132nd. Italy's Alessandra Fanali was the provisional clubhouse leader at 5-under, while French golfer Pauline Roussin-Bouchard led on the course with 6-under through 12 holes, without a bogey.
