In a heart-wrenching semifinal clash at the Paris Olympics, India's men's hockey team succumbed to a 2-3 loss against Germany. Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey expressed disappointment, citing missed opportunities as a key reason for the defeat.

India began with an aggressive strategy, earning multiple penalty corners. Harmanpreet Singh capitalized on the fourth corner to secure an early lead in the 7th minute, notching his eighth goal of the tournament. However, Germany matched India's vigor and equalized through Gonzalo Peillat's 18th-minute penalty corner goal.

The intense showdown saw both teams tied 2-2 by the third quarter's end. Germany's relentless pressure paid off in the 54th minute when Marco Miltkau scored the decisive goal. With this 3-2 victory, Germany advances to the final, leaving India to reflect on their missed chances and errors.
