Assamese actress and social media influencer Sumi Bora, along with her photographer husband Tarkik Bora, has been placed in five days' police custody. The arrest comes after Dibrugarh Police and the Special Task Force (STF) linked the couple to a multi-crore online stock trading scam.

Authorities revealed that the STF handed over the duo to Dibrugarh Police, setting off further legal proceedings. Initially sought for a seven-day custody, the police were granted five days by the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court.

The investigation into the elaborate scam continues, with the police expected to gather detailed statements from both Sumi Bora and Tarkik Bora. Notably, the couple had been evading arrest for the past 11 days until their recent detention.
