Assamese Actress Sumi Bora and Husband Detained in Multi-Crore Online Stock Trading Scam
Assamese actress and social media influencer Sumi Bora and her husband were detained by the Special Task Force in connection with a multi-crore online stock trading scam. They were handed over to police in Dibrugarh for further investigation. Bora's brother was also arrested earlier in connection with the scam.

Assamese actress and social media influencer Sumi Bora, along with her husband, has been detained by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with a multi-crore online stock trading scam. Officials confirmed their transfer to police in Dibrugarh for further investigation.
SP Rakesh Reddy stated that both Bora and her husband, Tarkik, had been handed over to Dibrugarh police, where a detailed statement would be recorded. The couple had been on the run for the past 11 days.
DGP G P Singh posted a photograph on X showing the duo with their faces blackened, indicating their apprehension by the STF. Meanwhile, the actress and choreographer indicated her willingness to surrender and cooperate with the police in a video message to local media.
