Neighbour Arrested for Assaulting a Six-Year-Old in Southeast Delhi

A shocking incident unfolded in southeast Delhi's Govindpuri area where a six-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by his 35-year-old neighbour on Sunday, as revealed by officials on Wednesday.
The matter surfaced on Tuesday when the child disclosed the inappropriate behaviour to his family, prompting them to take immediate action. Subsequently, a case was registered under the POCSO Act, and the accused, Balram Dass, also known as Kalu, was arrested on Tuesday night.
Tension escalated when a large crowd attempted to attack Dass and the accompanying police officers while they were en route to the station. However, authorities managed to ensure his safe arrival at the station, where a crowd later gathered, demanding swift action against the accused. Senior officers intervened to calm the situation by promising strict measures against the perpetrator.
