Senior player Deepti Sharma disclosed that India's mantra in the Women's T20 Asia Cup has been to take one game at a time, given that conditions haven't changed since the team's last stint in Sri Lanka. After a resounding 82-run victory over Nepal, India secured a spot in the semifinals, courtesy of notable performances by Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma.
India posted a commanding 178 for 3 and restricted Nepal to 98 for 9. Deepti noted the team's confidence and highlighted the unchanged pitch conditions from their previous visit in June 2022. 'From the first game, we are confident about each match and every situation,' she said after the match.
Deepti, topping the bowling charts with eight wickets in three matches, attributed her success to her readiness to perform in all situations. 'I always like to take challenges from the front and enjoy each match,' she commented. She also praised the team's positive approach, both in batting and bowling.
