India's Olympic medalist boxer Mary Kom, wrestling icon The Great Khali, and celebrated tennis player Sania Mirza graced the 'Shubh Aashirwad' ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai on Saturday. Mary Kom, a 2012 London Olympics bronze medalist, is acclaimed for her victories across multiple sports events including the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. Khali, born Dalip Singh Rana, is renowned for his WWE fame where he held the title of World Heavyweight Champion and earned a place in the Hall of Fame.

Sania Mirza, having represented India in various Grand Slam competitions and winning doubles titles at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and US Open, highlighted her illustrious career by retiring last year after the Dubai Tennis Championships. Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, exchanged vows in a lavish wedding on July 12, attended by a host of international celebrities and esteemed guests from diverse fields.

The wedding, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, witnessed an impressive gathering that included Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, and international personality Kim Kardashian, amongst others. Radhika Merchant dazzled throughout the festivities with her exquisite ensembles, epitomizing elegance during her vidai ceremony in a traditional lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, followed by a sindoori red creation by Manish Malhotra.

Her regal look was enhanced with a Banarasi silk dupatta and a veil cascading into a dramatic train. She adorned heirloom jewellery pieces that included gold, diamonds, and emeralds, adding to her majestic presence. Each accessory, from the choker to the mang tika, added to the opulence of her bridal appearance. The celebrations are set to continue with the 'Mangal Utsav' reception on July 14.
