Batting legend VVS Laxman has hailed India's resilience in their recent T20 World Cup victory, describing how the team snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against South Africa. Laxman emphasized that the passionate celebrations by the players and former head coach Rahul Dravid exemplified the value of this triumph.

India secured their first ICC trophy in 11 years and their second T20 title after a 17-year gap with a narrow seven-run victory over South Africa in the final held in Barbados on June 29. Reflecting on the intense finish, where South Africa needed just 30 runs off 30 balls, Laxman lauded the team's character, resilience, and self-belief.

Laxman, who now heads the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, pointed out the fervent celebrations by the squad which showed how much this victory meant to them. He highlighted individual moments of joy, including those of Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma, and the rare display of emotions from Dravid, who was handed the trophy by Rohit and Virat Kohli.
