Paramjit Singh Pamma, president of the Sadar Bazar Federation, announced plans on Monday to stage a protest addressing the acute traffic congestion plaguing the area. Highlighting the disorderly traffic's impact on local shopkeepers, traders, and shoppers, he expressed deep frustration at the lack of intervention from relevant authorities.
In a video shared on X, Pamma underscored the relentless congestion lasting from morning into the night. Overcrowding has not only disrupted commerce but also led to a surge in pickpocketing, escalating concerns for businesses and residents alike. His call to action echoes the community's growing impatience with inaction from traffic police.
Despite the heavy congestion, the local traffic police have so far failed to comment on or address the situation, leaving residents and business owners in the lurch as they grapple with daily inconveniences and increased security risks.
