A disturbing video showing a man dragging an unresponsive Indian jackal by a string tied around its neck has gone viral. The incident took place in Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh, after a wild canid bit five locals.

This comes amid reports of wolf invasions that have forest authorities on high alert in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The recent attack in Malgaon village involved a wild dog-like animal attacking three men and two women who were sleeping outdoors.

Locals say the animal became unresponsive after being captured but later escaped. Forest officials, who are investigating the video, suggest the animal was likely an Indian jackal. Efforts to locate the wild animal continue, with heightened activity following similar wolf attacks in Uttar Pradesh.
