A tree toppled amid heavy rains in Thane city on Saturday, causing significant damage to several parked vehicles, officials reported.

The incident, which occurred in the Pokhran-2 area shortly after 3 PM, resulted in no casualties, according to Yasin Tadvi, head of Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell.

Emergency personnel from various agencies swiftly arrived at the scene, using cutting equipment to remove both the fallen tree and debris from the damaged retaining wall. The wall, reported to be approximately 10 to 15 feet long and 4 feet high, had crushed multiple cars and two-wheelers.
