Monsoon-induced floods have tragically taken the lives of at least 15 individuals and affected over four million people in Bangladesh, presenting a significant challenge for the newly established interim government amid a political transition.
Several rivers have surged above the danger mark, particularly in northeastern, eastern, and southeastern Bangladesh, leading to the inundation of numerous cities, towns, and villages, causing fatalities, infrastructure damage, and disrupted communication lines.
Rescue operations in the flood-affected regions are being conducted by a coordinated effort involving the army, navy, coast guard, Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB), fire services, police, and even students.
