Incessant Rains Trigger Fatal Landslides in Tripura
At least seven people, including three family members, were killed and two went missing due to landslides caused by heavy rain in Tripura. Five deaths occurred in South Tripura, with other casualties in Gomati and Khowai districts. Thousands have been displaced and relief efforts are ongoing.

At least seven people, including three members of a family, were killed while two villagers went missing after landslides triggered by incessant rains occurred at three to four places in Tripura, a senior official said on Tuesday.
Five deaths were reported from South Tripura district, with one casualty each in Gomati and Khowai districts, according to Revenue Department Secretary Brijesh Pandey. The missing cases were reported from Khowai and Gomati districts.
Heavy rainfall since Sunday has caused waterlogging in several areas. A red alert has been issued in South Tripura district while an orange alert is in place for the remaining districts. Relief efforts are ongoing, with 5,607 affected families currently in 183 relief camps.
