A man died in a rain-related incident on Thursday as the weather office predicted heavy showers in the coming days in southern and southeastern parts of Rajasthan.

Heavy rain was recorded in many districts, including Jodhpur and Barmer, over the last 24 hours. Police reported that a house collapsed due to rain in Madoli village in Sawai Madhopur on Thursday morning, resulting in the death of Aman Meena. His body was retrieved from the debris and handed over to his family after a post-mortem.

As of 5.30 pm on Thursday, significant rainfall was recorded in various districts: 37 mm in Chittorgarh, 33 mm in Fatehpur, 19.7 mm in Ajmer, 15 mm in Mount Abu, and smaller amounts in other locations. Radheshyam Sharma, the head of the meteorological center in Jaipur, stated that a circulation system over eastern Rajasthan had moved to northwestern Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

A low-pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal, impacting the Andhra Pradesh and Odisha regions. Sharma indicated that the monsoon would likely remain active in most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next four to five days, with heavy rains expected to continue. Some relief is anticipated starting September 10. Additionally, the monsoon is expected to remain active in parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions, with possible heavy rains in some places over the next three days.

He further noted that rain activity would reduce and maximum temperatures would rise in the Bikaner division from September 8 and in the Jodhpur division from September 9.
