In a bid to mitigate the potential threat, forest teams in Haryana's Rewari are scaling up operations to track a tiger originating from Rajasthan's Sariska National Park. This comes after the tiger, identified as ST 2303, launched an attack on four people in Khairthal-Tijara district.

Led by Sariska Range Forest Officer Sitaram Meena, five to seven forest teams are currently stationed in the Jhabua forest of Rewari after spotting pugmarks of ST 2303. 'The forest is dense, making it difficult to tranquillize and trap the big cat,' Meena reported, 'We have alerted the villagers and the administration about the tiger's movement.'

The tiger's presence first became ominous when it attacked four individuals in the Darbarpur village of Khairthal-Tijara on Thursday, leaving one person severely injured. Authorities are now striving to trap the tiger before it poses further threats.
