Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi met Mexican ambassador Federico Salas Lotfe and Guanajuato's Alan Sahir Marquez Becerra to discuss bilateral cooperation in tourism and civic services. Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi on Thursday met with Mexican ambassador to India, Federico Salas Lotfe, and discussed potential cooperation in areas including tourism and civic services.

The General Coordinator of Social Communication of the Mexican city of Guanajuato, Alan Sahir Marquez Becerra, also attended the meeting, held at the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) headquarters.

The official delegation showcased keen interest in understanding the civic services provided by the local body. The discussions also focused on simplifying tourism between India and Mexico.

Mayor Oberoi outlined the MCD's responsibilities, such as maintaining city cleanliness, providing primary education, health services, and maintaining parks and green spaces.

Additionally, Oberoi highlighted ongoing rigorous efforts in solid waste management aimed at a cleaner and greener Delhi.

Both parties assured each other of mutual cooperation in infrastructure and civic services development between Delhi and Guanajuato.
