A stampede-like situation erupted near Mumbai airport as thousands of job aspirants gathered to apply for loader vacancies. Despite police assurances of adequate arrangements, managing the crowd proved challenging.
The incident occurred Tuesday morning but was brought under control later, according to Sahar police officials. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
More than 6,000 candidates converged near the airport, overwhelming the police. Subsequently, authorities decided to organize candidates into small batches to prevent further chaos. On Wednesday, only 550 candidates were processed in three groups, ensuring a smoother recruitment process.
