Intermittent rain continues to drench parts of Himachal Pradesh, with the Met office issuing a 'yellow alert' on Monday for heavy rainfall expected in isolated areas later this week.
The Shimla-based meteorological department has forecasted wet conditions to persist in the state till July 21. Recent rains have hit various regions, with Sundernagar recording the highest at 36.8 mm.
Since the monsoon's onset on June 27, the state has incurred losses amounting to Rs 177 crores, with 25 reported fatalities due to rain-related incidents, according to the state emergency operation centre.
