In a dramatic session on Monday, Congress MLAs staged a walkout from the Punjab Assembly in protest over what they perceived as unfair treatment towards one of their own, MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira.
During the Zero Hour, Khaira attempted to gain the floor's attention to voice his issues, but Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan held firm on his decision-making prerogative, allowing someone else to take the stand.
This led to objections from the Congress delegation, notably from Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, which culminated in the Congress MLAs exiting the House in defiance.
