In a sharp retort, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has responded to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's recent letter, which expressed displeasure over AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal referring to her as a 'temporary CM.' She urged that governance should transcend 'petty politics' and encouraged Saxena to collaborate constructively.
Atishi emphasized that unnecessary interventions had hindered crucial projects, pointing to the legacy of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whose governance model she says continues to drive the city's advancements. She accused Saxena of acting as a BJP proxy, thus harming public welfare.
Expressing concern over impediments to the Mahila Samman Yojana, Atishi criticized Saxena and reiterated the need to prioritize public interests. The ongoing political friction comes as Delhi gears up for its assembly elections early next year.
