Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has sharply criticized Chief Minister Atishi and the AAP government over a perceived 'deliberate lapse' in presenting 14 Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports in the assembly over the past two years.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Saxena suggested convening a special legislative session on December 19 or 20 to rectify the 'inordinate delay' in tabling these reports, given that legislative practice was reportedly not adhered to over the past five years.

The controversy escalates as BJP legislators, led by Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta, have petitioned the Delhi High Court for intervention, further pressuring the AAP to expedite the process.
