Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson ANS Prasad is calling for immediate reforms in government accountability and law enforcement. Emphasizing the need for a dedicated Home Minister, Prasad argues for a specialized court to handle police personnel cases, highlighting the recent Anna University sexual harassment case as evidence of the state's law enforcement failings under DMK rule.
Prasad criticized administrative inefficiencies and mismanagement, questioning the police's competence and demanding answers from Chennai's Police Commissioner. He specifically asked about the accusee's communication during the crime, asserting that police inaction and alleged cover-up efforts have damaged public trust in law enforcement.
ANS Prasad further urged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to prioritize citizens' welfare over party interests. He called for an immediate crackdown on rampant crimes like murder, theft, and bootlegging, stressing that effective governance requires transparency and accountability to restore the reputation of Tamil Nadu Police.
