A dramatic protest reminiscent of a scene from the classic film 'Sholay' unfolded in Rajasthan as two men climbed a water tank, demanding the cancellation of a controversial recruitment exam. Laduram Chaudhary and Vikas Bidhuri remained on the tank for over 50 hours without food or water.
The stalemate ended when Rajasthan minister Kirodi Lal Meena, ascending the tank himself, convinced the men to end their demonstration by promising a meeting with the Chief Minister after the assembly by-elections.
The protest highlighted broader discontent over paper leaks in the recruitment process, with ongoing demands for justice and accountability drawing crowds and stirring youth activism across the region.
