In a scathing attack, Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party President Babulal Marandi has accused the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha government of neglecting tribal issues despite campaigning in their name. He alleged that the tribal population in the state is declining and criticized the Chief Minister for not addressing infiltration concerns with the central government.

Marandi further asserted that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren avoids discussing infiltration routes and settlements allegedly used by illegal entrants. Expressing confidence in his party, Marandi said, 'The Bharatiya Janata Party is far ahead in the upcoming elections, and an NDA-led government will be established.' The Jharkhand Assembly elections are set for November with two phases of voting and the results to be announced on November 23.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has raised eyebrows over the recent Income Tax department raids on his associates, suggesting such actions have become routine since 2014. Soren, during a press conference, pointed out what he perceives as partisan operations by investigative agencies, particularly as state elections approach.
