Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched a scathing attack on the JMM-led government in Jharkhand, accusing it of reluctance to act against Congress minister Irfan Ansari. Ansari allegedly made derogatory comments about BJP leader Sita Soren, which Sarma claims haven't been addressed by the state government.
Addressing a rally in Baharagora, Sarma urged voters to support BJP candidate Dineshanand Goswami. He argued that the JMM government's inaction is due to fears of angering infiltrators, placing Jharkhand's political landscape increasingly into their control. Sarma also mentioned that Ansari's and Soren's contest in the Jamtara seat adds to the complexity of the situation.
The Assam CM further criticized the JMM government for failing to deliver its 2019 election promises, including job creation and social welfare initiatives. Highlighting issues like land occupation by infiltrators, he pledged that a BJP victory would lead to reforms such as providing 21 lakh houses, LPG cylinder subsidies, and cash support for women.
