Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to the streets of Jamshedpur on Saturday to campaign for BJP candidate Purnima Das Sahu and JDU's Saryu Rai. As the political heat rises, Shah launched a scathing attack on the state government, labeling it as the most corrupt administration in the country.
At a campaign rally, Shah called on voters to remove the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress from power, blaming them for rampant corruption. He referred to a raid on Congress leader Dheeraj Sahu's residence, wherein Rs 350 crore was seized, alleging that this money was pilfered from the state's youth and backward classes.
The upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections will see over 2.6 crore voters casting their ballots across two phases on November 13 and 20, with counting set for November 23. In previous elections, the BJP, JMM, and Congress have battled for dominance in the 81-member assembly.
