In the lead-up to the Jharkhand assembly elections, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, serving as BJP's co-in-charge for the state, has projected confidence in the BJP's strong standing. Sarma announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a rally in Chaibasa on November 4, underscoring the party's vigorous campaign efforts.

Speaking to ANI, Sarma highlighted, "Our team is in an advantageous position, and we aim to secure all seats in Chaibasa." Despite the BJP's preparation, NDA has not yet selected a candidate for the Chief Minister position, though Sarma emphasized the goal of appointing an effective leader for the state.

The elections for Jharkhand's 81 assembly seats will unfold over two phases, with voting on November 13 and 20, followed by the count on November 23. Amidst campaign dynamics, Sarma criticized Chief Minister Hemant Soren's administration over inadequacies in farmer support, particularly in paddy procurement and Minimum Support Price implementation.

Furthermore, Sarma urged Soren to oppose infiltration and introduce the National Register of Citizens in the state. With public rallies led by PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah set for early November, BJP hopes to capitalize on a significant voter base of 2.60 crore, including a sizeable first-time voter demographic.
