In a recent statement, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly imitating his party's guarantee schemes as part of their election rhetoric in states heading to the polls.
Kharge robustly defended the Karnataka Congress government's implementation of these schemes, noting that Rs 52,000 crore had been allocated for five such initiatives, with almost half already spent, despite BJP's claims to the contrary.
He accused the BJP of making several unfunded announcements in various states, dubbing them as mere propaganda meant to tarnish Congress's image while reiterating that Congress is committed to fulfilling its promises for public welfare.
