Kedar Dighe, the Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate from the Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly seat, expressed confidence on Friday in his ability to defeat Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. With the blessings of his late uncle Anand Dighe, a revered leader in the region and mentor to Shinde, Dighe aims to challenge the CM.
In an exclusive interview with PTI, Dighe criticized Shinde's development vision, highlighting a lack of consultation with key stakeholders. He pointed to the closure of Wagle Estate MIDC, rising unemployment, and inadequate training facilities in Thane as major issues affecting the constituency.
Dighe pledged to address unemployment and welfare in Thane, criticizing the CM's decision to waive tolls near Mumbai just before elections. He believes the youth and senior citizens will rally behind his campaign against the current administration.
