Chandy Oommen, Congress leader and Puthuppally MLA, has lodged a formal complaint with Assembly Speaker A N Shamseer, alleging a breach of privilege for being excluded from government programs in his constituency.
The complaint, submitted on Tuesday, claims Oommen was neither informed nor consulted regarding several government-organized events, including the sub-district youth festival in Manarcad.
Oommen, son of late former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, regards his exclusion from these events, particularly the one inaugurated by Devaswom Minister V N Vasavan, as an insult to his position as a legislative member.
