A terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Gulmarg tragically resulted in two soldiers succumbing to their injuries, raising the death toll in the ambush to four. Initially attacked on Thursday, two Army porters died, while a soldier and another porter were severely wounded.
The ambush occurred when terrorists fired upon an Army vehicle headed for the Nagin post in the Bota Pathri area of Baramulla district, known for its scenic tourist appeal. The attack took place amidst concerns of terrorist infiltration in the higher reaches of the Afrawat range.
This incident has amplified fears of a heightened terrorist presence, drawing condemnation from political figures. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have expressed their concerns, while BJP's Ravinder Raina blamed foreign influences for the unrest.
