Anuj Kasana, the BJP Yuva Morcha's Khoda Mandal president, was arrested by Khoda Police under the stringent Gangster Act, causing unrest among party members. On Thursday, workers protested outside the Indirapuram police station, accusing authorities of politically motivated actions.
For over five hours, the BJP Yuva Morcha members demonstrated, expressing dissatisfaction with the local administration. They alleged that Kasana's arrest was unjust and driven by political rivalries.
In defense of the actions taken, ACP Indirapuram, Swatantra Singh clarified that the arrest was lawful, building on past criminal charges against Kasana. These charges include firing and extortion, with Kasana and his brother previously detained in connection with these allegations. The ongoing investigation targets their alleged criminal activities.
