As the political arena heats up in Maharashtra, several prominent candidates have submitted their nominations for the upcoming assembly elections in Thane district.
Among them are ex-MP Rajan Vichare and former state minister Jitendra Awhad, representing different parties. Thane, notably the home ground of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, is witnessing active participation from major political entities, including the Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and various local leaders have also entered the fray, ensuring a competitive election landscape. With nomination submissions open until October 29, the district's 18 assembly constituencies prepare for intense political battles ahead of the November 20 elections.
