Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Laos for a significant two-day visit to participate in the ASEAN-India and East Asia summits, signaling a push to fortify collaborations with member nations. Invited by Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Modi's visit underscores Laos's pivotal role as the current ASEAN chair.

Modi is expected to engage deeply in discussions at the 21st ASEAN-India Summit and the 19th East Asia Summit. He emphasized that the visit would mark the Indian Act East Policy's decade-long journey, targeting further enhancement of India-ASEAN partnerships and future cooperation directions.
