In a virtual assembly, senior representatives from the United Arab Emirates and Japan's Foreign Ministries reconvened to deepen discussions on political diplomacy and international cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative launched in 2022.

The meeting witnessed contributions from Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, UAE's Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and Ando Toshihide, Japan's Assistant Minister, and Director-General of the Middle East and Africa Bureau. Both sides celebrated the progress in strengthening bilateral relations and announced the initiation of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations.

Focusing on regional issues, the dialogue tackled ongoing conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, and Sudan. Both nations stressed their commitment to advancing peace and security in alignment with UN principles, highlighting dialogue and humanitarian aid as crucial elements for conflict resolution and civilian protection. The leaders reaffirmed their dedication to fostering a mutually beneficial bilateral alliance.
