In a significant electoral triumph, Congress candidate Aftab Ahmed won the Nuh assembly seat in Haryana on Tuesday, defeating his nearest rival, Tahir Hussain of the Indian National Lok Dal, by a wide margin of 46,963 votes, as per the Election Commission.

Ahmed was the outgoing MLA from Nuh, making his victory a matter of reaffirmed trust among the constituency's voters. The counting of votes from the October 5 assembly elections commenced at 8 am on Tuesday.

The BJP's Sanjay Singh trailed behind in the third position, highlighting the competitive political landscape in the region.
